“Familial ataxia's are various genetic illnesses affecting the nervous system. In addition to a variety of symptoms and handicaps, sufferers have difficulty coordinating voluntary movements. These illnesses are progressive and lead to a progressive loss of physical abilities, often until they are completely disabled. Familial ataxias can present themselves at any age. At this time, there is no cure.” – Bet on our victory! Canadian association for Familial Ataxia's, Claude St-Jean Foundation
Each September we hold our walk helping to raise thousand of dollars going to FA research. Our little walk in the park by the lake is now being duplicated in Courtenay - British Columba, Montreal – Quebec, Saskatoon - Saskatchewan and in Whitby - Ontario. It is now a Canadian event and we would like you to help celebrate our achievements in creating Canadian awareness about FA and helping us raise money for its research.
Online donations do not get included towards any prizes at the event. To ensure that you get all the credit for your funds raised please bring them with you to the walk.
